Privacy in travel discovery.
Touristchi is designed to minimise unnecessary collection and retention of personal information while providing personalised travel discovery features.
Uploaded inspiration images
When you use visual inspiration analysis, the uploaded image is processed from the temporary request file. Touristchi does not intentionally retain that uploaded image as a persistent image in the visual-discovery workflow.
Derived analysis
Touristchi may temporarily cache derived analysis results to reduce unnecessary repeated processing and to allow a traveller to explicitly save an inspiration result.
Saved inspirations contain derived travel analysis and recommendation information, not the uploaded source image.
What visual analysis is for
Visual analysis is designed to understand travel-related characteristics visible in an image, such as landscape, architecture, atmosphere and activities. It is not designed to identify people.
External AI processing
Visual analysis currently relies on an external AI service. Uploaded content may therefore be transmitted to that service for processing.
Accounts and saved travel data
If you create an account, Touristchi may retain information associated with features you explicitly use, including saved destinations, saved inspirations, traveller profile signals and destinations you mark as visited.
Passport visit marks are user-reported. They are not verification of physical presence at a destination.
Product analytics
Touristchi records limited product events to understand how travel discovery features are used, for example destination views, saves, Rediscover interactions, Passport actions and inspiration analysis or save actions.
For visitors who are not signed in, analytics may use a pseudonymous visitor identifier derived from the application session. Touristchi does not store the raw session identifier in product analytics events.
Inspiration analytics may also use a pseudonymous correlation identifier to connect an analysis with a later save. The one-time raw save token is not stored in product analytics events.
Uploaded inspiration images, image filenames, image hashes, AI prompts and free-text image analysis are not intentionally stored inside product analytics events.
Analytics retention
Raw product analytics events older than 180 days are scheduled for automatic deletion through a daily retention process.
Aggregated product metrics are behavioural product signals. They should not be treated as proof that a traveller physically visited a destination or that Touristchi caused a change in real-world visitor flows.
Privacy notice updates
This notice may be updated as Touristchi introduces new functionality, integrations or data-processing activities.
